Using Unscramble Pal in 3 steps
Enter your letters
Type up to 15 letters into the input box. These are the letters you want to unscramble — for example, your Scrabble rack, a jumbled word puzzle, or any set of letters you're working with.
Hit Unscramble
Press the Unscramble button (or hit Enter). The tool instantly checks every possible combination of your letters against a comprehensive English dictionary and returns every valid word it finds.
Browse results by length
Results are grouped by word length — 2-letter words, 3-letter words, and so on. Each group is color-coded for easy scanning. Use the Options filters to narrow down results by starting letter, ending letter, or exact length.
Pro tips for word games
Go for length first
Longer words score more points in Scrabble and Words With Friends. Always check the 7- and 8-letter sections first — a bingo (using all 7 tiles) earns a 50-point bonus.
Use the filters strategically
If you need a word that fits between two letters on the board, use 'Starts with' and 'Ends with' together. This narrows hundreds of results down to exactly what you can play.
Learn common short words
Two- and three-letter words are the backbone of high-scoring Scrabble games. Words like QI, ZA, XI, AA, and OX let you play high-value tiles in tight spots.
Try adding a wildcard letter
If you have a blank tile, try entering your letters plus a common letter like E, S, or R to see what opens up. The blank can become any letter you need.
